Macs is a 14 year old Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie). He looks like a miniature collie. He went outside this morning, just like every other morning, but today he did not come in when called. We have been searching since about 7:45 a.m.
We live in Cross Creek off County Road 325, a couple of miles north of the M.K. Rawlings house.
Macs is not a wanderer. He generally prefers to stay in the yard close to the house, although we suspect that he might have followed one of our other dogs into the woods surrounding the house and become lost. If that is the case, it is possible that he made it out to CR 325.
We have spoken to all of the neighbors and have searched the surrounding area without success. Perhaps some kind-hearted soul picked him up and took him to safety.
Macs is a sable Sheltie, 26 lbs. with a white blaze. He is in good health. There is a small tear in his left ear, but it is not visible because of his fur. You can only feel it. Macs is shy around strangers. He is a house pet, so not very street smart. It's not like him to wander off - this has been our morning routine for his whole life. We are so worried about him.
If you have any information that would help Macs come home, we would be very grateful. Please call us at 352-466-4171.
This is a business number. It's OK to leave a message -- we'll be monitoring calls frequently.
Many thanks.

Deb I wish we lived closer so we could help you look for him, I know how you must be feeling. We'll keep you and Macs in our prayers and ask that either he will find his way back or that someone will bring him home safe and sound very soon.
Love, Naomi & Larry
Thanks to all of you.
